  • Authentication and 2FA

Authentication and 2-Factor Authentication (2FA)

If you’re still having issues with the 2-Factor Authentication after multiple attempts, please try the following methods.

Look for a false alert

In some cases, Suparise might consider that your account got disconnected, even though it's not really disconnected. If ever you're encountering the page on the image below, this might be the case.

False alert

Check if you're really disconnected

In order to check whether you're disconnected, please remove this part from the URL "/challenge/?next=%2F", in order to go on Instagram.com in the same window.

If ever you're logged in and can access your Instagram feed, this means you're connected

In that case, you can close this browser window and click on "All good, it worked" on the page "How is the authentication going?", as on the image below: False alert

If ever you're logged out and can't access your Instagram feed, this means you're indeed disconnected

In that case, you can close this browser window and try the other methods below.

Complete Authentication outside Suparise

  • Open your regular desktop browser in "Incognito" or "Private" mode
  • Go to Instagram and log in to your account
  • If ever, during this process, you’re asked to complete a 2FA, please do so.
  • After that, retry the authentication process in the Suparise app.

Use Instagram Backup Codes

  • Open your Instagram application
  • Go to Settings, Two-factor authentication, Get Backup Codes.
  • Inside Suparise, try the authentication process again, and this time use a Backup code in order to complete the 2FA.

Disable 2FA Authentication

Disable Two-factor authentication inside your Instagram app After that, retry the authentication process in the Suparise app.

Confirm it's you with "This was me"

  • On Instagram desktop or mobile, look for a Settings section named "Login Activity".
  • On every item of the list that shows the location where your computer is located (the one using Suparise), click on the “This was me” button.
